Barneys team involves Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), who is former SAS and professional with blades; Yin Yang (Jet Li), close-quarter combat master; Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) who is an old friend of Barney and specializes in a long-barrel weapons; Toll Road (Randy Couture), master of demolitions and intellect; and Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), who is professional at precision sniping.

This team gets a job offer from mysterious Church that no one wants to accept: overthrow cruel General Gaza (David Zayas) in Vilena. This mission seems to be a routine for the group. Things gets more interesting when they meet Sandra (Giselle Itie), who is freedom-fighter and has her own dark secrets.

A team also realizes that their true enemy is ex-CIA operative James Monroe (Eric Roberts) and his flunkey Paine (Steve Austin). Barney and Christmas unintentionally gives Sandra a death sentence, by leaving her under compulsion. Barney persuades the group to come back to Vilena after this failure. They must finish their mission and maybe Barney will get opportunity to save his soul.
