Can destiny be controlled or someone or something is manipulating us? David Norris (Matt Damon) realizes that his future has been planned by Fate. The problem is that this guy want something more than this plan.

Something more is a girl, which he has to pursue in the streets of New York.

David Norris is an ambitous politician and Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt) is ballet dancer. David realizes that Elise is a special woman. However, when David starts to realize that he is falling in love with her, mysterious men try to keep them apart.

Young man starts to understand that he is fighting against agents of Fate from the  Adjustment Bureau. These agents will do everything they can to prevent Elise and David from being a couple. Now David has two opportunities- either accept his plan and let Elise go or fight against the agents of Fate.
