Paul Kemp (Johny Depp) is a novelist and divorced alcoholic. He decides to spend his time in San Juan until his ship comes in. He wants to work as a journalist in a bankruptcy newspaper, drink rum and experiment with LSD. Paul finds a new friend Bob Sala and realizes that they are involved in a corrupt hotel development scheme with one more figure- PR consultant Sanderson.
Movie is based on a Hunter S. Thompson’s novel and Johnny Depp confirms that this novel is great.
